Abhishek Bachchan (innate 5 February 1976) is an Indian actor who entered Bollywood in the year 2000.

Biography
He is the boy of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan (the BBC Actor of the Millenium]] and renowned actress Jaya Bachchan. His sister is socialite Shweta Nanda.

Although he made a strong debut in J.P. Dutta's Refugee alongside Kareena Kapoor in 2000, the movie was not considered a success. In a span of four years, Bachchan went on to do many more movies, without any major box-office successes. However, with his performance in Mani Ratnam's Yuva, he proved his mettle as an actor. His performance earned him the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award and every other supporting actor award at the major film award functions. Yashraj Films's Dhoom, starring Bachchan, alongside John Abraham, Uday Chopra, Rimi Sen and Esha Deol was a hit in 2004. Next, Bachchan is set to star in a Karan Johar directed movie, alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherji,and Preity Zinta called Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and in Dhoom 2, the sequel of Dhoom.

Personal Life

Abhishek Bachchan was engaged to actress Karisma Kapoor, but they ended the engagement without marrying. He has been seen about town with Bollywood stars Rani Mukherji, Lara Dutta and Preity Zinta. He has recently been linked to Dipannita Sharma, a model and aspiring Bollywood actress; latest rumors have it that the couple is no longer together.
